The MiG 1.44 was the Soviet Union multirole frontline fighter project, meant to counter the American programme that produced the F-22. It uses a canard delta layout with a large ventral intake, twin outward canted tails and vectoring nozzles, and was designed for supercruise. The Soviet collapse took the funding with it, and the single prototype did not leave the ground until February 2000, by which point the programme was already finished. It flew only a handful of times. On MCS the 1.44 is the interesting what if in the hangar. It has the size and thrust of a heavy fighter with canards and vectoring that let it point sharply, so it behaves like an aggressive Flanker rather than a stealth aircraft, and its shaping was never as low observable as the marketing suggested. Recommended for players who want a heavyweight brawler with an unusual silhouette.
