The F-22A entered service in 2005 as the first aircraft to combine low observable shaping, sustained supersonic cruise without afterburner, and thrust vectoring nozzles that pitch the exhaust up and down. Weapons ride in internal bays so nothing spoils the radar shape. Production stopped at 187 aircraft and it was never sold abroad. On MCS the Raptor is the benchmark air superiority fighter and everyone knows it. It gets to altitude quickly, holds supersonic speed without burning through fuel, and the vectoring nozzles let it point its nose in places other fighters simply cannot reach, which decides most close fights on the first turn. The catch is that pulling those extreme angles destroys your energy, so a missed shot leaves you slow in front of a friend of the pilot you just tried to kill. Recommended for experienced pilots who can use the nose authority sparingly.
