The Su-25 entered service in 1981 and was built for one job: attacking ground targets while being shot at from close range. The cockpit is a welded titanium bath up to twenty four millimetres thick, the fuel tanks are filled with foam, the control runs are duplicated, and the two engines are separated by an armoured spine so a hit on one does not take the other. It carries a twin barrel 30 mm cannon and hangs ordnance from ten pylons. On MCS the Frogfoot is the eastern counterpart to the A-10 and behaves similarly: slow, stable, hard to kill, and able to absorb hits that would end any fighter. It operates happily from bad surfaces near the front line. Against aircraft it is defenceless beyond a lucky cannon burst. Recommended for players who want to work close to friendly ground forces and survive it.
