This site and our Discord bot collect as little as they can get away with. This page says exactly what that is.
Data controller
The controller of the personal data processed on this website and by our Discord bot is Secco invest s.r.o., a limited liability company incorporated in the Czech Republic, business number (IČO) 14180049, with its registered office at Klatovská třída 1460/83, Jižní Předměstí, 301 00 Plzeň, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in Plzeň under file no. C 41765. Contact: [email protected]. Alongside us, Tebex Limited is a separate controller for store purchases and Discord is a separate controller for the operation of Discord itself.
What the website stores
A single cookie named locale remembers which language you picked, so the site opens in it next time. It holds a two-letter language code and nothing else. Your cookie choice itself is kept in your browser's local storage under mcs_cookie_consent and never leaves your device.
Analytics
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 records anonymised page views and traffic sources. Advertising storage, ad personalisation and ad user data are switched off permanently and cannot be enabled. If you decline, no analytics cookie is written and Google receives no identifiers. You can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer. Google Analytics 4 retains event data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. Data may be transferred to the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which provides the legal basis for that transfer.
The game server
The site shows only how many players are connected right now and whether the server is up. In-game names and latency are not shown, because the game server does not publish them. Even the headcount is not stored, not logged and not linked to anything else. Joining the game server itself is governed by Cfx.re and by Rockstar's own terms.
Screenshots from the server
Screenshots taken on the game server, which may show players, can be used by the project for promotion on social media and on the website. If you would rather not appear in published screenshots, message us on Discord and we will take the screenshot down on request.
Discord
The news and changelog sections read messages from public channels on the MCS Discord server through the Discord API. Author names and avatars shown here come from those public messages.
The MCS Discord bot
Beyond that, our own bot runs on the MCS Discord server. It maintains the leaderboard, grants the rank roles that go with it, shows the server queue, reports your statistics and collects voluntary feedback. To do that it stores your Discord user ID, your in-game name, the number and time of your play sessions, your kills and deaths, and the text of any feedback you choose to submit.
The leaderboard, the roles, the queue and the statistics run on our legitimate interest in operating a community server, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Feedback text is processed on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give by submitting the feedback and can withdraw at any time.
The data sits in a database on our own server in the European Union, encrypted at rest, and goes into no other database. We do not sell it, do not share it with advertisers or any third party, and do not use it for profiling or ad targeting. Because the bot runs on Discord, however, everything you send it there also passes through Discord as a separate controller under its own privacy policy, and that is outside our control.
Statistics and sessions are kept for as long as the project runs — an all-time leaderboard makes no sense without them — and are deleted when the project ends. Feedback text is kept for at most 24 months. You can ask our Discord staff or write to [email protected] at any time and we will delete everything tied to your Discord ID within 30 days.
A Content Creator application (platform, channel name, follower and view counts) is not written to our database. It does stay as a message in a private staff channel until we delete it, which we will do on request. The bot sends you a direct message only in response to something you did — after a play session it offers a short questionnaire, and it confirms feedback you submitted. You never have to reply.
Message content on Discord
The bot holds Discord's Message Content permission. It uses it for two things: it mirrors staff announcements from two internal channels into two public ones, and it replies with the server address when someone types ip, !ip or ip? in chat. We do this on our legitimate interest in running the server, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Message content is processed in memory the moment the message arrives, and that is where it ends. It is never written to our database, never logged to disk, never used for analytics, moderation history or for training any artificial intelligence model, and never passed to anyone else. Messages in every other channel are discarded without being acted on.
If you would rather the bot did not act on your messages at all, run the /optout command on Discord and the bot gives you the No Bot Replies role; the same command takes it back off. Discord still delivers your message to the bot, but with that role the bot discards it immediately — it will neither relay it nor reply to it.
Because this rests on legitimate interest, you can object to it at any time under Article 21 GDPR. The No Bot Replies role is the fastest way to do that, but a message to the staff on Discord or to [email protected] works just as well.
What is never collected
No account, no email address, no payment details and no advertising profile on this site. There is no contact form and no newsletter. The Discord bot collects no emails, no IP addresses and no payment details, and it does not read your private messages with other users.
Your rights and contact
You can clear the cookie and local storage from your browser at any time, which removes everything this site holds about you.
Beyond that you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to have its processing restricted, to data portability, to object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and you can withdraw any consent you have given (for example to analytics being switched on, or to feedback you submitted) at any time. If you feel your data is not being handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Czech data protection authority, the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (www.uoou.cz). For anything else, reach the team on Discord.
The same rights cover the data our Discord bot holds about you. Write to [email protected] or contact the staff on Discord and we will action a deletion or access request within 30 days.
In case of any discrepancy between language versions, the Czech version shall prevail.
