The F-35C is the carrier variant, cleared for US Navy operations in 2019. It has a noticeably larger wing with folding tips, strengthened landing gear, a tailhook and bigger control surfaces, all of it needed for approaching a moving deck at low speed. Those changes also give it the most internal fuel and the longest range of the three Lightnings. On MCS the C model is the one to take when the target is far away. The extra wing area means it holds a turn better than the A or the B at low speed and it stays in the air longer between spawns, which matters on large maps. It pays for that with a slightly lower top speed and more drag. Like its siblings it fights best on sensors rather than in a scrap. Recommended for long range sorties and for pilots who dislike running out of options over hostile ground.
