The AH-64E is the current production Apache, fielded from 2011. The drum above the rotor is the Longbow millimetre wave radar, which can scan a wide arc, classify well over a hundred targets and prioritise the most dangerous of them in seconds, all while the helicopter hides behind terrain with only the mast exposed. Under the nose sits a 30 mm M230 chain gun slaved to the gunner helmet, and the stub wings carry Hellfire missiles and rockets. The E model added stronger engines, composite rotor blades and the ability to control drones from the cockpit. On MCS the Apache is the definitive anti armour platform. Pop up, acquire, launch, drop back below the ridgeline and repeat. Its weakness is that it is a slow, large target the moment it is caught in the open by a fixed wing aircraft. Recommended for players hunting armour with terrain to hide in.
