The F-15J is the single seat Eagle built under licence by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, in service since 1981 and the backbone of Japanese air defence ever since. It differs from the American F-15C mainly in electronic warfare equipment, and later upgrades added domestic missiles and improved radar. Everything else is pure Eagle: an enormous wing, two engines that produce more thrust than the aircraft weighs when lightly loaded, and no compromise made for ground attack. On MCS the F-15J is a straightforward air superiority machine. It climbs away from almost anything, holds energy through hard turns thanks to that wing area, and gives you height to spend whenever you need it. It is big, so it is visible, and it carries nothing useful against ground targets. Recommended for pilots who want to own the vertical and fight other aircraft exclusively.
